As an Operative you will be required to be extremely flexible and have the ability to carry out a variety of activities, ensuring that both quality and productivity targets are met.

The company

Stadium Export Services, part of the British Engines Group, provides a comprehensive export service offering everything from bespoke packing solutions to export logistics. Based in Gateshead, Stadium is a fast growing export services provider with experienced design, packing and shipping teams and in-house manufacturing facility for timber and plywood cases used to transport products worldwide.

What you’ll be doing

Construct pallets, crates and cases using pneumatic nail guns
Operate a range of wood working machinery i.e. auto crosscut saws and offload cut timber
Pack a variety of items into crates and cases using hand tools and pneumatic nail guns
Work to and complete job cards
Assist with loading and unloading containers
Deal with incoming goods and related paperwork
Work offsite on customer premises, when required, to pack items into crates and cases
Carry out regular, lifting and handling of in-process sawn timber
Conduct general labouring and housekeeping responsibilities.
Work and adhere to the required quality standards
Ensure that you work in a safe manner and comply with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental Policy

Who we’re looking for

You should have an eye for detail, demonstrate a can-do attitude, be self-motivated and team orientated. We are looking for someone with a flexible approach to work activities including working offsite and overtime as required.

Experience of working in a busy timber manufacturing environment and use of pneumatic nail guns is preferable; however, training will be provided.

A current, clean driving licence, forklift truck certificate, crane and IPAF licences would be advantageous.

Working hours are 37 per week; however, you should be flexible to work overtime as required.
