Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced PCV/HGV Fitter to join our team in the Engineering Department at Blackpool Transport Services. As a Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet and company vehicles.

This is a vital role within our business to keep our passengers and employees safe by maintaining our fleet of modern single and double deck service buses as well as the company support vehicles. Work must be completed efficiently, safely and to a high standard. You must be reliable, have the ability to work on your own with mínimal supervision and be an ambassador for Blackpool Transport Services at all times.

Blackpool transport has one of the most modern bus fleets in the UK we have invested heavily in new vehicles over the last four years, with plans for the investment to continue and to look at new technologies there has never been a better time to join the company and our experienced engineering team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Carry out repairs to fleet and support vehicles in a timely and professional standard.
- Work within a close-knit team of Engineers and staff within the department.
- Diagnose vehicle faults accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain and repair the fleet to a legally compliant standard.
- Attend roadside breakdown, to ensure service is maintained.
- Assist in upholding and maintaining Company’s high Operators Compliance Risk Score of Green Zero and current 100% first time PCV test pass rate.
- Liaise with other departments to meet targets and objectives.
- Communicate with external customers and businesses.
- Maintain an awareness of Health and Safety practices and procedures at all times.

Qualifications:
**1. Education/ Qualification/ knowledge**

Driving Licence with less than 3 pointsE

PCV/HGV Driving LicenceRelevant PCV/HGV Engineering Maintenance qualificationWillingness to undertake any training required for the roleDEE**2. Skills/ Experience**

Experience in PCV or HGV maintenance- Experience of working roadside with relative certificationAbility to work on own initiativeEEEAware of the importance of Health and Safety proceduresE
