The AI Design Team designs and implements the creatures and NPCs that populate both Star Citizen and Squadron 42. AI designers define behaviours and interactable entities that control how the AI interacts with players and the game environment. We aim to achieve a level of detail never seen before in a video game. Our current focus is to bring players fresh and convincing life forms based on our game diverse locations, rich lore, and challenging environmental conditions.

**What does an AI Designer at CIG do?**
- Take ownership of the AI driven gameplay experiences from concept to release.
- Design and implement AI behaviours for both combat and social gameplay.
- Create entities that the AI creatures and NPCs will interact with in the game.
- Prototype and previsualize new AI behaviours and interactable entities.
- Collaborate with the AI Engineering and Animation Teams on AI behaviour implementation.
- Work with content teams to populate the game.
- Attend motion capture sessions and ensure that performance capture matches the design intent.
