The sidings Tea Room is a small business based within Chasewater Railway, Brownhills West Station. We are a warm, friendly and fast paced tea room.

We have a fantastic weekend job opportunity available at the sidings tea room. We are looking for a confident, quick paced individual to join our team on a part time basis, working one weekend day as a minimum but some weekends you would be required to work both days. The applicant would also need to be prepared to cover weekdays during school holidays and mid week staff holiday cover when required. We are looking for someone aged 18+ ideally with experience of working in a similar environment. The position is part time hours (6-12 hours a week) and permanent once the three month probationary period has been completed.

The position is a minimum of either a Saturday or Sunday every week (applicant must be flexible with both weekend days), but some weekends you will be required to work both days. Hours are 10am to 4pm, although finish time depends how busy the tea room is and we are sometimes there until 5pm.

Job responsibilities include
- food preparation (Hot and cold food).
- serving customers in a polite and friendly manner.
- operating the till and taking payment using an EPOS system.
- hot drink preparation using a barista coffee machine.
- keeping the tea room clean and tidy at all times.
- completing daily/weekly/monthly cleaning tasks.
- washing up.
- waitressing.

Applicant requirements
- Experience of working in a similar environment. - Food hygiene level 2 will be required. Training will be provided.
- Ability to use own initiative is a must.
- Must be able to work as part of a team and independently.
- There will be a strong customer focus within this role and high levels of customer service and good manners are essential.
- Applicant should be friendly, approachable and well presented. Good communication is a must.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £7.49-£10.42 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 12 per week
