**Job summary**:
Strategic Command is one of the four Military Commands operating in the UK and overseas, including locations in Cyprus, Gibraltar and South Atlantic. The purpose of the Safety Centre is to enable UKStratCom to deliver its outputs whilst protecting Health, Safety and the Environment.

The post is advertised at 37 hours per week and is intended to be full-time and therefore part-time or job share can only be considered if full-time cover can be achieved.

**Job description**:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support our optimisation of the new Defence-wide Accident Report System. You will support our users in their operation of the system and identify potential improvements to its use and functionality. You will help deliver and influence new capabilities in the system as they are developed.

**Responsibilities**

The post holder will act as the Strategic Command lead for the Defence Unified Reporting and Lessons System (DURALS).

Duties will include:

- Managing the administration and development of accident, incident and near miss reporting and investigation processes using the Defence Unified Reporting and Lessons System (DURALS).
- Undertaking trend analysis and supporting lessons learnt management.
- Producing performance reports.
- Acting as Strategic Command focal point for DURALS, supporting stakeholders with future developments.
- Championing the implementation of identified best practice.
- Representing Strategic Command at Defence-wide DURALS meetings.
- Providing DURALS support across the Safety Centre team.
- Promoting a positive culture through liaison with the Health, Safety and Environmental Protection community and supporting campaigns to improve reporting culture and awareness of DURALS.

**Person specification**:
**Essential Experience**
- Experience in data analysis, data exploitation, data visualisation
- An awareness of accident and incident reporting and analysis
- Experience in managing a project or product

**Desirable Experience**
- Experience/understanding of Health and Safety management.
- Proficient in the use of PowerBI.

**Other Information**:
Travel within the UK and overseas will be required on occasion.
