**Trainee Accountant**

**Role**

As a Trainee Accountant, you’ll be based in modern offices with convenient parking and break-out areas. The client base consists of thriving businesses, providing you with a diverse range of work. You’ll collaborate with others in the Audit & Accounts team, which includes other active AAT and ACCA studies. If desired, this role will support you in completing your AAT and ACCA studies.

**Responsibilities**

You will learn how to:

- **Bookkeeping**: Efficiently manage bookkeeping tasks using Xero or QuickBooks.
- **VAT Returns**: Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately.
- **Accounts Preparation**: Handle small limited company and sole trader accounts.
- **Tax Computations**: Assist in preparing tax computations alongside draft accounts.
- **Audit Support**: Contribute to audit processes.
- **Client Interaction**: Liaise with clients and address queries.
- **Software Proficiency**: Utilize Xero, Quickbooks, Sage, and receive training on audit software.

**Requirements**:

- **Experience of** working in an accountancy Firm, or accounts team for at least 6 months
- **Seeking to study AAT**: If you’ve already commenced your AAT that’s fine
- **Skills**: Familiarity with bookkeeping, VAT, and management accounts in an Independent Practice.
- **Software Proficiency**: Proficient in Excel and a desire to learn Quickbooks and Xero.
