**ESOL Employability Tutor**
- Location: Suffolk & Norfolk_
- Salary: £25,000 - £27,800_
- Working hours: Monday - Friday._
- Job Type: Permanent; full-time._
- As an ESOL Employability Tutor, you will be responsible for the quality of ESOL training for the Refugee Employability Programme. You will ensure that you provide an excellent service to our participants with a great understanding of the requirements relating to ESOL and understand individual needs by showing empathy and consideration towards our refugee customers._

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ability to support our participants with language barriers and to improve their chances of finding work through the delivery of employability courses tailored for those with low levels of English language understanding.
- Ability to work to strict targets with participants from various barriers and backgrounds and deal with written and verbal presentation skills with empathy to assess individual situations.
- Ability to be able to demonstrate coaching and mentoring experience by having persuasion and influencing skills with experience of customer-facing roles.
- Ability be able to deliver and assess how each participant is engaging by providing a highly motivated and quality tutoring with monitoring and managing of the quality of the provision
- Ability to be able to adapt teaching and learning strategies and select resources as appropriate to meet the participants learning needs which will enable each participant to achieve their goals in learning the English language.
- Ability to provide accurately forecast attendance and support requirements monthly, by being proactive and ensuring that contract compliance is being met by addressing any shortfalls.
- Ability to work with the quality managers to address any areas of improvement.
- Must have verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Must have experience of working in the welfare-to-work or any other similar relevant sector.
- Must be able to demonstrate coaching and mentoring experience by persuasion and influencing skills and have experience of customer-facing roles by working in a target-driven environment.
- Must be able to work independently and professionally.
- Must have strong communication skills, and experience of building strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Must be a team player and supportive of colleagues.
- Empathetic to vulnerable and at-risk adults and have a strong desire to help.
- Computer, Data Entry and MS Office skills

**Desirable**:

- To have leadership skills and able to support refugees with English as they will be speakers of Other Languages
- Knowledge of the challenges experienced by refugees or asylum seekers, or personal lived experience.
- Knowledge of languages including Amharic, Arabic, Albanian, Bengali, Dari, Farsi, Hindi, Pashto, Spanish, Tigrinya, Urdu or Yoruba

- Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
- Tutoring: 1 year (preferred)

- PTTLS or PGCE; ESOL or EAL (required)
