Mademoiselle Desserts make amazing cakes and desserts for the food industry. This is a great opportunity to join our on site technical team.

**Role Purpose**

To ensure and audit Taunton site against to food quality and safety standards for compliance. To be capable of completing customer product specifications including artwork approval and generation. To provide guidance and support to teams on site with adherence to relevant standards and policies.

Compliance Technologist is an integral part of a technical team assisting with the implementation and training of QMS documentation across the site.

**Principal Accountabilities**

Ø Ensure compliance to Food Safety, Quality & GMP procedures by auditing - weekly and monthly audit programme using iAuditor.

Ø Completion of glass and hard plastic audits as determined by frequency.

Ø Completion of monthly fabrication and hygiene audits.

Ø Managing close out of audit non-conformances by liaising with other departments as required.

Ø Be proficient in completion of customer specifications including artwork approval and generation.

Ø Training operations team on technical quality management and standard operating procedures, including CCP training and competency tests, and completion of annual ‘Toolbox Talk’ topics.

Ø Maintaining staff training matrix on above procedures.

Ø Responsible for site pest control programme with contracted provider, taking responsibility for close out of recommendations raised.

Ø Administrate site internal audit programme, to include the completion of designated internal audits.

Ø Participation in deliver of site Quality Culture events.

Ø Responsible for site export certification process to facilitate product export orders.

Ø Participation in site third party audits.

Ø Be proficient in product and ingredient traceability / mass balance and be able to demonstrate to third parties.

Ø Completion of prescribed environmental swab plan.

Ø Weekly scales calibration checks.

Ø Monitor freezers and chills through Icespy system.

Ø Absence cover for lab submission and taste panel completion.

Ø Be a proactive and constructive member of the Technical Team, contributing to the generation of new ideas for continuous improvement in accordance with audit non-conformances.

Ø The role will require an element of 'out of hours' working within reason (predominantly days).

**Training and Qualifications**

Ø Food industry experience at least 3 years

Ø Food Safety Level 2

**Skills and Knowledge**

Ø Confident with experience of working in food manufacturing environment

Ø Knowledge and audit experience of BRC.

Ø Communication and influence skills

Ø Able to present and train to individuals & / or group.

Ø Good PC skills required.

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
