Brackley, United Kingdom Stepping Stones Preschool Ltd Full time

Stepping Stones is a childcare provider which provides childcare for children aged 2-11 years. We operate sessional care, via Breakfast Club, Playgroup, Preschool and Afterschool facilities each day within term time and a Holiday Club out of term time.

**Job Purpose**

To ensure that Stepping Stones is cleaned each evening, within a job share, so that it is clean and tidy and fit for use each day.

**Job Role**

This role will require the individual to work alone at night on some evenings, and will be a key holder. The position is for 2.5 hours cleaning 3 times a week.
- To ensure that all flooring is swept or hovered appropriately, and washed with floor cleaner
- To ensure that all toilet areas are cleaned daily and toilets and sinks disinfected
- To ensure that the fridge is cleaned weekly, and disinfected
- To empty all bins and ensure that all rubbish is taken out to the commercial bin in the garden
- To clean the kitchen area and disinfect all worktops and sinks
- To lock up and activate the alarm on leaving at night
- To check cleaning supplies and raise orders for replacement products when required
- Clean each month skirting boards and window ledges
- Clean children’s chairs within the month
- Personal Protective Equipment - aprons and gloves should be worn at all times
- On occasions extra hours will be required to undertake an intensive clean of the building

**Job Training**

Manual Handling, Health and Safety, and Fire Safety training will be undertaken at induction and thereafter annually. On the job training will be required and will be given by the Manager/alternative job share cleaner as necessary.

- To be able to work alongside, and in partnership with the other job share cleaner
- To be flexible - the odd weekend may be required following a Fundraising event

**Knowledge or Qualifications**

None required. Training will be given.
