Butcher Assistant

Responsibilities:

- Assist the head butcher in preparing and cutting meat products according to specifications
- Preparing ready meals in the kithcen
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the butchery area
- Receive and inspect meat deliveries, ensuring quality and freshness
- Package and label meat products for display or storage
- Assist in inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfill orders and meet customer demands

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment preferred
- Knowledge of different cuts of meat and butchery techniques is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temp to perm

Pay: From £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
