About the role

Your role will be an agile position meaning you can work flexibly between 2 days at a fixed base in London and from home. You will work full time, 35 hours per week on a 2 year fixed term contract with a salary of £28,336.13 to £30,734.05 per annum inclusive of London Weighting. What you will be doing?

As a Senior Project Officer you will be supporting The Head of Programmes to deliver strategic programmes of work across the Policy and Practice department ensuring that programme team has the tools needed to meet project milestones, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to support the smooth running and delivery of project activity. This position will also support on the co-production and involvement in our ongoing work with the Recovery and Outcomes Network where we support people in secure services to directly influence local and national policy and practice.

**Key responsibilities will include**:
working with the Head of Programmes and the Secure Care programme team to support existing experts by experience, their families and carers in a secure setting to understand and feed into the current mental health framework.

facilitating focus groups with people with lived experience, identifying discussion topics and analysing the findings - often digitally.

project coordination, documentation collation and can work to tight timelines

supporting the Secure Care Programme Team ensuring the team have the tools needed to meet project milestones

reating project documentation and complex schedules

co-ordinating and collating project documentation

supporting in submission of bids, tenders and funding proposals

What are we looking for?

experience of working with mental health service users

an interest in the value of lived experience as a complementary perspective to the professional perspective - to arrive at better solutions

experience of delivering focus groups, engaging attendees and getting the most out of people

passion about equality and diversity and increasing representation

strong communication skills

**You may also have**:
experience supporting and coordinating information for bid submissions

expertise and experience in facilitating co-production to redesign services

understanding of citizen participation approaches and equalities and diversity.

understanding of the health and social care system and service provision for people severely affected by mental illness
