The position
By joining Geopolitics & Political Analysis you will have the opportunity to:
- Carry out geopolitical and political analysis on countries in which Equinor operates or is considering operating within the region(-s) of responsibility (Asia, Latin America and North America
- Create scenarios and draw business implications.
- Work within the GPA team and together with other stakeholder to deliver accurate, timely and relevant analysis on global, regional, national, and local dynamics that may affect Equinor’s business.
- Deliver presentations to the top management and other stakeholders in the company on changing dynamics in the political and geopolitical space relevant to the region(-s) of responsibility.
- Develop a broad and active internal network contributing to a strong understanding of country risk.
- Engage with an external network of experts and analysts to gather information on regional and thematic trends and granular intelligence on specific countries and issues.
- Respond to real-time events or business activities in a timely manner and form that meets the immediate business need.
- Contribute to the analysis and delivery of broad thematic issues that inform Equinor’s strategy and its implementation.
- Work within the GPA team in improving our analysis and output to the business, supporting other team members as needed.

- Master’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills - fluency in English.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and proactively in an international environment.
- An understanding of, and interest in, the geopolitical and political context preferred.
- Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications.
