**Role: Activities Co-Ordinator**

**Hours: 24hrs per week**
**Salary**:£10.90 per hour**

We are a private Health Care provider looking for an experienced Activity Co-Ordinator to join our residential dementia home in Delph, Oldham Wakefield.

The Activities Co-ordinator will work 20 hours per week on a 2 week rolling rota, including alternate weekends between the hours of 9am - 6pm.

**As the Activities Co-ordinator you will**
- Organise and co-ordinate activities for daily living on a group and individual basis in consultation with residents
- Encourage both resident and colleague participation in activities
- Develop relationships with and work alongside external bodies and the local community
- Work in partnership with Oomph to enhance mental, physical and emotional wellbeing of residents
- Control and maintain the stock of activities equipment, materials and resources within the budget
- Ensuring the overall happiness and well being of residents by getting to know them and their families

**Experience/Qualifications**:

- Experience of working within a care setting and / or organising activities is desirable
- Level 2 in supporting activity provision in social care is desirable
- Membership of NAPA - desirable
- Understand the types of activities older people enjoy
