**BNJ Consultants **are looking for **CNC Lathe Setter/Operator** to join our client based in Lichfield.

**Working days/hours**: Monday to Friday (07:30 - 16:00)

**Pay rate**:Between £13 - £15 per hour, depending on the experience

**Duties**:

- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce precision parts according to specifications
- Material used: steel, stainless, aluminium, plastic, etc.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements
- Select and install tooling, fixtures, and attachments on the machines
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts onto the machine
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as necessary
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating CNC lathe machines
- Proficiency in CAD software for programming and editing machine instructions
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining processes
- Experience with materials handling, including loading and unloading raw materials onto machines
- Basic math skills for performing calculations and measurements
- Familiarity with hand tools for tooling adjustments and minor repairs
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
- Knowledge of welding techniques for fabrication purposes is a plus
- Experience with warehouse operations, including inventory management, is a plus
- Familiarity with logic controllers for machine automation is a plus
