**Main Purpose of the Role**:
To monitor product placement, velocity and returns to maximise pick face accessibility for fast movers, relocating products to minimise transit times and maximise productivity. To interrogate SAP and manage master data to facilitate the effective tracking-up of inventory and subsequent putaway strategies. Investigation of material removed from locations during normal operational activity.

**Spread Of Skills & Analysis Required**:
The Operations Support WMS & Master Data role is fundamental to maximising pick densities, reducing the opportunities for error injection and maintaining SAP systems. A detailed knowledge of SAP inventory functions, Inbound processes and master data requirements to secure a system-driven putaway process is required. The ability to interrogate data and make meaningful decisions with regard to managing an ever-changing pick face through stock relocation and consolidation is crucial, as is a full suite of MHE licenses.

**Pressure & Working Environment**:
The role requires the delivery of proactive actions to maintain core operational outputs and is based within the Operations Support Department in Hexthorpe. A structured approach to data exploitation which can be turned into action to support inbound and outbound delivery requires pragmatic thinking and the ability to work to both defined overarching plans as well as solve time-critical issues. Core outputs will include the maintenance of accurate SAP Master Data to allow efficient Inbound receipt, the continuous monitoring and realignment of pick faces and consolidation of inventory, and the supporting of any SAP developmental work.

**Qualifications & Education**

Counterbalance License Essential.

Desirable are VNA Man up, Wav and Flexi.

**Experience & Proven Ability Required**

A good understanding of Warehouse Management Systems and inventory velocity principles is vital. A sound working knowledge of SAP is required and good computer skills fundamental to the role. Previous experience of working in a fast-paced, time critical warehousing and distribution environment is essential, as is an in-depth knowledge of SAP inventory functionality. A track record of working to tight timelines, being able to plan and prioritise activities and work with computer-based systems is core to the role. The role requires interaction with operatives and leadership alike, so must be a team player and able to flex and react to ever-changing situations. The incumbent must be comfortable working with data and then using this to drive physical continuous improvement measures across inventory holdings.The role incumbent must be able to work with mínimal supervision and interact with all levels across the operation. Good time management, communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting the operation is a must.

**Duties & Key Responsibilities**

**WMS (SAP) Exploitation: 50%**- Interrogation of SAP Master Data to facilitate the effective tracking-up of inbound inventory to putaway using background functionality.- Incremental implementation of fixed bins.- Exploitation of SAP data to determine stock velocity and turns to drive the constant appraisal and optimisation of pick faces.- Analysis of inventory status to manage bin allocation and consolidation.

**Direct Operational Support: 50%**- Relocation of inventory to maintain optimised pick faces.- Consolidation of inventory to maximise bin usage.- Application of 5S as required to maintain safe inventory holdings.- Assist in the continuous review and development of procedures and practices through participation in the Unipart Way and C.I. activities related to inventory management.- Work within the warehouse complex in a manor, which maintains at all times the safety of self and work colleagues.- Undertake work outside of the direct area of responsibility that may be deemed necessary to support the company’s operations and stock integrity.
