REED Technology are delighted to partner with an innovative and forward thinking Software house. Due to continued growth and expansion this fantastic organisation are seeking to add a Software Engineer to their excellent team.

You are already or will become a product and industry expert in key areas, and you will mentor other team members in the domain, in our products, and in software engineering processes. You will work closely with experts to develop solutions and with QA engineersto ensure the high standard of product quality our customers expect.

Accountabilities
- Design, implement, test, integrate, maintain, and support real-time, multi-threaded software components of company products, services, and test suites.
- Develop low-latency, reusable, and extensible order execution and market data normalization solutions.
- Analyze and optimize product performance.
- Provide support for escalated issues.
- Interface with hardware and firmware engineers to create high-performance algorithms across multiple subsystems including custom and off-the-shelf hardware.
- Execute the software engineering process, adhering to high standards of quality.
- Manage tasks and projects to agreed deadlines.
- Peer code and design reviews, unit testing, and progress reporting.
- Mentor junior team members.

Essential Criteria
- 3+ years of experience in developing time-critical, low-latency, multi-threaded, modern C++ software.
- Experience with other scripting and programming languages highly desired
- 3+ years of experience with development, debugging, and analysis tools.
- Expert understanding of software engineering techniques and processes.
- 3+ years of Linux.
- Capital-markets and/or Financial Services knowledge (Trading, Market Data, protocols) highly desired
- The position requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field, or the foreign equivalent degree.
