**Job overview**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced clinical psychologists to join our Adult CMHTs as we embark on a journey of transformation. These posts which will have considerable input to the service improvement work being undertaken as part of the Mental Health Transformation which is aiming to develop new and innovative ways to improve the services we deliver in a more holistic, person-centred way, addressing both physical and mental health needs.

The post-holders will take clinical leadership responsibility in the co-ordination and implementation of psychological care and ensure the systematic provision of a high-quality specialist psychological therapies service for patients and their families/carers, with the emphasis on coproduction.

CWP Community mental health services are aiming to provide person centred, psychologically and trauma informed models of care. Psychological approaches are highly valued within teams and Clinical Psychologists & Psychological practitioners are integral in this process, providing specialist assessment and interventions, as well as contributing to the clinical thinking and decision making of the teams. Alongside direct clinical work, a key component of their role is to provide supervision, consultation and training to the wider service.

**Main duties of the job**:
The post-holder will join a supportive and friendly senior leadership team which includes senior Clinical Psychologists across the Trust and the Head of Clinical Service and Service Managers for the Wirral area. They will also work closely with the other members of the leadership team, to develop strong working relationships and effective care pathways. Alongside these leadership roles, they will carry a clinical caseload within the Wirral CMHTs, working both directly and indirectly with service users.

We are keen to recruit individuals with experience, specialist knowledge and skills of working with mental health difficulties such as complex trauma, psychosis, interpersonal difficulties, and self-harm. We value skills in a wide range of specialist therapies including ACT, CAT, CFT, EMDR, CBT, Schema focused therapy & DBT. Equally important are leadership skills and the ability to develop innovative practice and play a lead role in service development. We are looking for someone who can contribute at a senior level to the vision for the service, working closely with colleagues in different parts of the system, including primary care and the third sector.

The post is funded for 5 days but there are opportunities for part-time and flexible working. We prioritise investment in staff training and development as well as staff wellbeing.
