**About the Role**

**Base Location**: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK sites:

- Glasgow, Aberdeen or Perth

We are searching for a reliable, dedicated & diligent Safety Health & Wellbeing (SHW) Assurance Auditor to join our Support and Assurance Team. Reporting to the Renewables SHW Support and Assurance Manager, the role is responsible for planning and delivery of assurance activities across the SSER Business Units (Onshore Wind, Hydro, Offshore Wind, Solar & Batteries and Development & Construction Projects).

You will be responsible for the preparation of the annual audit plan, chairing assurance scheduling meetings, providing guidance to the audit team, reviewing audit reports and monitoring progress of the overall assurance schedule.

You'll also contribute to the delivery of the overall Renewables safety culture through robust and systematic auditing and driving continual improvement.

Conducting audits is the main responsibility of the role and frequent travel is an essential requirement.
- Lead the ongoing development of annual assurance audit requirements. Chair Quarterly Planning meetings with each BU to ensure agile, and intelligent Assurance Plans are delivered.
- Assist the Support and Assurance Team Manager by engaging with the BU and Corporate Group Audit, to identify audit focus areas and to coordinate and support delivery of the Renewables Assurance schedule and Group Level Audits.
- Conduct BU level assurance audits, as the lead auditor or as team member.
- Responsible for the overall quality, review, and update of Renewable specific Assurance Procedures, audit protocols, audit forms, completed audit reports and assurance schedule performance reporting.
- Ensure continual improvement within Renewables by providing audit coaching, training, and guidance to facilitate improvement of site level and BU level audits.

**What do I need?**

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Degree qualified or equivalent, preferably in mechanical/electrical engineering or process engineering or equivalent.
- 5-10 years SHE or operational experience preferably in energy related industry.
- Qualified and experienced Lead Auditor with significant Audit experience. In-depth knowledge of; UK HSE Acts & regulations and ISO standards 45001, 22301, 19011, 14001 & 9001.
- Possess interpersonal and communication skills with natural flair for forging sustainable relationships and promotes and encourages effective teamwork.
- Advanced computer skills for Microsoft Office suite and using systems such as Maximo, Synergy, Q-pulse etc.
