An opportunity has arisen for **IT DevOps Manager** to join our IT team in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. To build and manage a central DevOps function within the WAE IT team to support and manage the WAE business software development activities across a multitude of engineering disciplines (Battery Intelligence, Electrical, Mechanical, Motorsport, Formula-E, Vehicle Integration etc)

**Job role**:

- Identify software development activities across the WAE business and develop a strategy to support these activities through a central DevOps function.
- Identify business resource requirements for development activities (e.g. development environments) and work with Operations & infrastructure, Service Delivery and Applications teams to provide these to software development teams
- Ensure WAE Intellectual Property (IP) and Trade Secrets are stored and managed securely.
- Centralise code repositories and manage these within the IT team.
- Ensure software development follows best practice and maintains operational security at all times.
- Produce a robust set of OLAs, KPIs and CSFs to measure the performance of DevOps support within WAE.
- Identify support gaps for development activities and provide solutions through the recruitment of internal resource or engagement of 3 rd party support providers as required.
- Support and write business cases for new DevOps tools, systems and support needs as required
- Ensure DevOps & other related licenses are properly maintained and forecast future requirements for IT & business budget cycles.
- Investigate & implement any escrow requirements for WAE developed software or 3 rd party components
- Work with the IT management team and key business stakeholders to develop and maintain the IT roadmap & systems strategy.
- Identify and realise savings for WAE technologies by centralising toolsets, offering rationalisations introducing new IT innovations and removing duplication where possible.
- Contribute to the IT Service Catalogue
- Be a member of the IT Change Advisory Board and IT Incident Management and Response team
- Willingness to be part of the IT Out Of Hours Incident Management rota (to be defined)
- Work within the ITIL aligned IT management framework as lead by Head of IT
- Own additional IT Processes as identified/required.
- Other ad-hoc duties as required.

**You’ll have**:

- Experience in a similar/IT related role - Essential
- Experience working with Azure DevOps amongst other development toolsets & coding disciplines - Essential
- Experience working with Python, C#, C++, Matlab and other coding environments - Essential.
- Experience with maintaining and controlling development environments - Essential
- Experience working within the engineering, automotive or motorsport industries - Desirable
- A degree level education in an IT or related technical discipline (e.g. Engineering) - Desirable
- A team player used to learning new skills & taking on new challenges - Essential
- ITIL Foundation Qualified - Desirable
- A friendly and approachable disposition - Essential
