Kitchen Assistant Job Description

1. Put dishwasher on to fill with water.

2. Set up plates, bread, butter, jam, and milk. Get toaster out.

3. Leave bowls on the bench

4. Fill up the biscuit tin

5. Write white board with the menu which you will get off the cook when she comes in

6. Start breakfast
- check list on the board re breakfast

7. Support Residents with feeding in the dining room and day room and give breakfast to those that can feed themselves. When all Residents that are seated have been given breakfast go back into the kitchen and continue kitchen duties.

8. Clear dishes and put in the dishwasher as you go along. Clean fridge out in staff room and benches. Keep canisters in staff room replenished daily.

9. Ensure that those in their rooms also get breakfast
- the feeder will feed those in their rooms

10. After break, clear tables, put away toaster, wash tables and set up for lunch

11. Brush and mop the floor

12. Go and ask Residents what they want for lunch
- choice of 2

13. After serving lunch wash tables and reset tables for tea

14. Put dishes in dishwasher again

15. Ensure all dishes out of the dishwasher are put back in the cupboard

16. Clean out fridges in kitchen on weekly basis and complete cleaning schedule

This is intended as a brief outline of duties and will

be revised intermittently to meet service needs

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 18 per week
