**Position: Family Mediator**

We are seeking a skilled Family Mediator to join our team at Time Together Contact Centre. This role is integral in guiding individuals through the complexities of disputes, fostering constructive dialogue, and crafting amicable solutions. **Employment Details**:
**Role Type**:Available as part-time or full-time, with a self-employed status.

**Compensation**: A percentage-based remuneration model, with specifics to be discussed

during the interview.

**Work Schedule**:Monday to Friday, with the benefit of weekends off to maintain work-life

balance.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Serve as a neutral facilitator in mediations related to family disputes, focusing on child
- related and financial matters arising from family separations.
- Employ your expertise in conflict resolution to guide parties towards understanding and

agreement, ensuring a balanced and fair mediation process.
- Organize and conduct mediation sessions, identifying key issues and aiding in the exploration of viable solutions through constructive communication.
- Draft clear summaries and agreements, encapsulating the outcomes of mediation in a way that is understandable and acceptable to all parties.
- Maintain up-to-date professional development records, participate in training provided by the organisation, and engage in regular staff meetings and casework discussions.
- Comply with all regulatory requirements, including undergoing an enhanced DBS check and maintaining professional indemnity insurance.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Completion of a recognised Mediation Foundation Training program.
- A minimum of two years of experience in family mediation, with a preference for those

holding Accreditation Status, especially for conducting legal aid work.
- Demonstrated proficiency in mediation principles, conflict resolution techniques, and an in-depth understanding of the mediation process.
- Exceptional communication skills, with an emphasis on active listening, empathy, and the

ability to remain impartial and non-judgmental.
- Strong negotiation abilities, capable of facilitating productive discussions and achieving

consensus among parties.
- Familiarity with legal aspects of mediation and adeptness at managing emotional

dynamics within mediation sessions.
