An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly competent and enthusiastic lecturer to join us in delivering outstanding teaching and learning on our Healthcare and Science courses. Both our Health and Science departments deliver BTEC programmes in Medical and Forensic Science at level 3, Health and Social Care at levels 2 and 3, and A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. These department areas also deliver Access to Higher Education programmes in Science and Health & Human Sciences for mature learners alongside degree-level apprenticeships. We take an interdisciplinary approach to Health and Science but are keen to hear from applicants with backgrounds or experience in the health and science sector.

We offer unique and state-of-the-art facilities to our students, providing lecturers with an exciting place to teach our passionate and dedicated students. Teaching experience is desirable, but we are looking for someone with the confidence to share their experience and knowledge with our students as we would provide support for gaining a formal teaching qualification alongside your work with us.

**What we're looking for**

**Qualifications**:

- Essential_
- A recognised teaching qualification or be willing to obtain within two years of appointment.
- Maths at level 2 (GCSE grade 4 or equivalent).
- A degree or equivalent qualification in the related discipline.

**Experience**:

- Essential_
- Recent experience of teaching in an educational environment or willingness to develop a career in teaching.
- Clinical experience and currently, or very recently, NMC registered.
- Desirable_
- Recent experience teaching in an FE/HE environment.
- Industry experience in the healthcare or science sector.
- Current NMC registration and a willingness to keep this active whilst in post.

- Good general knowledge of health and safety at work in an educational and relevant vocational environment.
- Effective communication skills.
