**Operations Manager**

**The Business**

My client Limited is a family owned business based in South Yorkshire. Established in 1996 this is an incredibly well invested and successful business with a turnover of approximately £10m pa and is ready to experience its next phase of growth.

They are looking for an experienced **Operations Manager** who has the ambition to be an equity holder in the business, someone who has the drive and self-belief to help transform the production process to facilitate the next chapter in thecompanies progression. This is a fantastic opportunity to step out of the corporate world and into a business where hard work, creativity and flair will be rewarded. Manufacturing timber products out of the purpose built facility in is at the centre of Doncaster’s rapidly expanding distribution network and is well placed to continue its journey of growth. Having built the bespoke site it is time to build the team totake this business to the next level of performance.

**The Role**
- **Safety.** Drive strong safety first culture. Zero reportable accidents/EHS events and system of regular area review, good safety observations being raised and closed.
- **Quality.** Drive a Quality culture of right first time with a focus on continuously eliminating issues and deviations.
- **People.** Recruit, train, develop and coach all team members developing a positive team cultural by offering a strong role model. Manage all shop floor staff (18 currently) Supervise the daily activities of the production unit or teams.
- **Performance.** Responsible for delivery of set production outputs by Implementing simple but meaningful daily, weekly and monthly production KPI’s
- **Strategy.** Strategic assessment of implementing increased productivity plans including extended shift patterns
- **Continuous Improvement.**Drive the implementation of operational excellence the as part of the senior team you will manage and lead the daily activities of the production teams including meeting production targets and improving and challengingsafety, productivity, quality and efficiency of operations.

**The Individual**
- Several years experience as an Operations Manager in Manufacturing.
- Experienced in LEAN manufacturing process.
- Experience of transport and logistics.
- Must be prepared to work on own initiative and improve all operational activities.
- Positive attitude that fits with the entrepreneurial style of an owner managed business.
- A personal commitment to employee ownership.

**The Remuneration Package**

**Salary**: £50k to £60k pa with business performance related bonus

**Employee Ownership** : An equity option following a 12 month successful integration into the business, to be part of the team that creates a new share reward incentive.

**Holidays**: 25 days plus statutory Bank Holidays

**Pension**: Employee Pension Scheme
