Accounts Supervisor

TSR Ipswich Ltd are seeking a full time Accounts Supervisor for a highly reputable client in Stowmarket.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a growing, forward thinking company which has seen substantial growth over the past two years, with further expansion planned for the years ahead.

During your role you will lead a small team and be involved in the transition to, and set up of Sage Intacct which will replace the current Sage 50 and Xero packages currently in use. This is a hands on role and will combine management of the accounts teamand data, as well as assisting with daily processing for each function.

The accounts team process accounts for two companies under the clients brand. We have multiple Operational sites and are supported by the centralised Accounts, HR, Sales and Logistics teams in Head Office.

**Monday-Friday 8.30am to 5pm**

**Role Responsibilities**:
Lead, manage and provide support for the processing of the following day to day accounts functions:

- Sales ledger - daily invoice run, ensuring all charges are generated, checks completed and processes in place for refunds/credits. Monthly statements issued.
- Purchase ledger - spend is authorised, checked and validated against PO’s and waste management system
- Bank reconciliations
- Credit card reconciliation
- Credit control - ensuring timely follow ups and appropriate management of overdue accounts and customer credit limits. Liaising with Account Managers where needed for resolution
- Processing credit checks
- Processing journals as required
- Management of supplier payments
- Resolution of supplier and customer issues
- All other aspects of day to day accounting, reporting and other tasks as may be required
- Managing the month end process by ensuring data processed and accruals/data are provided to the Management Accountant in a timely manner
- Checking and filing VAT returns

**Requirements for the role**:

- At least 2 years as a supervisor in a similar role
- Working knowledge of Sage essential and Sage Intacct desirable
- Working knowledge of Xero desirable
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong organisation, planning and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- A team player

**Qualifications**

AAT qualified to Level 3 or equivalent, or appropriate work experience
