**Ceremony Officers**

**Zero hours post**

**£12.70 - £14.71 per hour**

**Wareham**

Dorset Council’s Registration Services are seeking new ceremony officers to register marriage and civil partnership ceremonies in our team based in Wareham and operating across the Purbecks.

The days of work will be flexible depending on ceremonies booked so we’re looking for people who are available to work most weekends and some weekdays and can give notice of their availability in advance. These are permanent zero hour posts.

Ceremonies may take place at venues such as town halls, hotels, farms or castles within the area, although occasionally work may be offered at any location across the Dorset Council area. There is no guarantee of the amount of work, or its allocation (see context statement for an approximate indication) and you should be available most days of the week but **Friday and Saturday are essential.**

We are looking for applicants who are flexible, adaptable and can provide excellent customer service to couples holding their ceremonies in Dorset. You will need to be of smart appearance and able to work in an accurate manner with particular attention to detail.

Interviews and aptitude tests will take place on **Wednesday 29 March 2023.**

Please ensure you are available on the relevant date.

**If you require any further information or for an informal chat about this post please contact Kirsty Riglar on 01305 228907 or Vivienne Robson on 01305 228905.**

No experience is necessary as full training will be provided but you should be available to attend induction and core training between 27-29 April 2023.

Additional practical training days will also be required following this and are most likely to be on Saturdays following core training.

**Please note: previous unsuccessful applicants need not apply.**

This post requires significant travel. You must have a vehicle (or transport we deem suitable) available for use as needed.
