We have a**great opportunity for a Maintenance Manager.** This is a rewarding and fulfilling role, and is an exciting opportunity to manage the upkeep, maintenance, and improvement of a significant heritage buildings portfolio at a historiccountry estate.

This is a full time role, with a salary from £45,000 to £50,000 (negotiable) depending upon your experience and qualifications. The company also offer a 7% pension and 21 days holiday, plus bank holidays, and health insurance.

We are looking for**an experienced construction professiona**l who has the knowledge and knowhow to easily diagnose and remedy faults. This is not a hands-on role, but you will be scheduling planned maintenance and repairs, delegating workto employed tradespeople and trusted contractors.

Ideally you will have experience in general building, and will be able to use your expertise in all aspects of building disciplines to provide expert advice and leadership to your team. This role would be an excellent opportunity for someone to come "offthe tools" and be in a management position.

The property portfolio includes traditional rural dwellings, terraced houses, former agricultural buildings now used as workshops and offices, shops, schools, operating farms, historic structures such as walls, weirs and bridges. You will need experienceof working on a variety of buildings, as the structure, materials and make up of the properties is diverse

By continually investing in several natural and built environment restoration and improvement projects, sustainability initiatives, property maintenance, property refurbishments and potential new-build projects, the scope of work covered by the team is broad.

The Maintenance Manager role covers:

- Maintenance and repair
- Financial management
- Compliance and risk management
- Team management

The successful Maintenance Manger will have:

- General building and construction experience
- Knowledge of historical buildings
- Health and safety knowledge
- A good understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- A current driving license

Based about 15 minutes north of Hertford, the Estate Office is in a rural location in the centre of the estate park. The offices are smart and provide a comfortable working environment in a recently refurbished historic building. There is plenty of parking
