**About the Employer**:
The employer is a Multi Academy Trust comprising a cross-phase family of schools. Their shared aim is continuous school improvement through challenge, collaboration and support.
**About the Opportunity**:
Our client’s network team are looking for an energetic and hardworking apprentice to join their small team, providing network support in the central network team located at Kings College Guildford in a team of three.
You will be working with an exciting new close-knit team working remotely across the trust schools. You will be assisting the Service Desk Lead and IT Technicians as tickets come in, assisting staff and students across the schools. As you’ll be working inthe helpdesk team you will be doing predominantly first line support but they feel that network staff should be given the opportunity for different projects so will work with you on one of these projects to learn a speciality, for example: backup systems.
On completion of your apprenticeship, career opportunities may be available across their 12 schools where you will be able to continue training and attend seminars to maintain your knowledge.
**What you will be doing**:
- As an apprentice you will be working in a school trust and carrying out the following duties: Helpdesk support resolving problems associated with operating systems, networks, software, user accounts and websites etc.
- Provide first line support for staff who raise helpdesk tickets
- Provide technical support to understand and troubleshoot issues
- Creation of staff accounts throughout a range of programs and websites
- Assist in system upgrades and system maintenance
- Liaise with third party suppliers such as Internet Service Providers and vendors to retrieve quotes
- Support with technology asset management
**The training you'll be provided with**:
- Comprehensive digital pre-apprenticeship induction programme (including health and safety, safeguarding, PREVENT, technical and curriculum specifics)
- Level 3 Information Communications apprenticeship standard

- Specialist vendor and technical certificates
- Access to practice labs to develop technical competency
- Curriculum knowledge base (lesson plans, resources etc)
- Monthly assessor visits and competency checks
- Support desk (technical, curriculum and pastoral)
- Personal Learning and Thinking Skills and Key Skills development
- Employment Rights and Responsibilities module

**Working Week**:
Four days a week in school, 1 day a week at home to study. 36 hours a week with a 40 minute lunchbreak per day.
**Qualifications**:
Educated to GCSE standard English and Maths grade 4 (or above), or functional skills level 2 in English and Maths.

22 months
