**Reporting to the IT Purchasing manager we are looking for an IT Purchaser, the purpose of your role will be the purchasing of IT Systems within the company, in line with Aspris policies and procedures.**:
**Key responsibilities of your role will be**:

- Review Capex requests and escalate to the Head of Technology/IT Director for approval
- Check and validate all purchase orders created and escalate any discrepancies to the Senior Group IT Logistics Purchaser
- Liaise and act as an interface between the company and external suppliers, build relationships with strategic partners and obtain associated quotes
- Assist the Head of Technology throughout periods of company acquisitions with the purchasing of additional IT equipment, the centralisation of licensing and warranty agreements and take on the increased IT Purchasing workload as a result of the acquisition
- Direct involvement in business-critical projects including acquisition, refurbishments, new
- builds and “Specials”. Working closely with other departments and managers to ensure key timescales are met and costs meet budget requirements
- Maintain a close contact with the Telecoms supplier to ensure smooth delivery of network related equipment as soon as Aspris connectivity established
- Work closely with team members and colleagues to ensure best practice is always worked to on all projects/ process
- Analyse and resolve incidents from all areas of the business within agreed service levels whilst ensuring immediate resolution is achieved wherever possible
- Be willing to attend sites as and when necessary, as part of project rollouts, hardware refreshment and also to enhance the profile of IT throughout the company
- General administration activity to support the Senior Management team and office when the Executive Assistant is out of the office. To include, but not limited to booking any travel/accommodation for the team, maintaining the annual leave & sickness records, weekly Health & Safety checks, ordering of any office supplies & welcoming any visitors to the office.

**Knowledge / Education / Skills**
- Familiar with the IT industry and associated equipment i.e. PC’s, Servers, Networking equipment, Microsoft/software products and general IT consumables.
- Sound and demonstrable level of previous experience in a purchasing/IT environment.
- Working to medium and long term objectives, the role holder will need to make management decisions consulting with the Head of Technology as and when necessary.
- Regularly required to translate new ideas, best practice and evidence-based research into tactical solutions which support the aims and purpose of the division and group, particularly around our core values of quality, innovation and value.

**Experience**
- Experience in working in a purchasing environment.
