Aon is currently recruiting a Broker / Associate Director to join our Political Risk broking team in London.

This is a Hybrid role which will involve part office/home-based working.

**What the day will look like**:
**Broking**
- Complete placements from Non-Binding Indication to confirmation of cover a variety of deals
- Binding transactions for clients across multiple products including Political Risk, Comprehensive Non Payment (Contract Frustration/Credit) and Pre & Post Shipment

**Client/Network Engagement**:

- Putting together market submissions and understanding clients’ needs
- Developing new and existing clients, guiding them through the process from initial meetings and engagements to binding first policies.
- Structuring solutions for clients trading and investing in both OECD and developing economies
- Preparation for market presentations to ensure client’s requirements best presented
- Work with multiple stakeholders on projects within the Aon Political Risk team, PCCM & across the Aon Network & Global Specialties.

**Operational / Portfolio Management**:

- Slips, endorsements and processing;
- Working with the accounts team to ensure timely production of invoices;
- Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of required training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

The Aon Political Risk & Structured Credit team is made up of highly motivated recognised market leaders within the Political Risk and Credit market. They service Aon’s Global Network & clients including corporates, export credit agencies, traders, financial institutions (banks and funds) and lessors. With extensive experience structuring large complex placements to enhance clients’ abilities to invest, they operate and trade in a portfolio of challenging countries.

Our book of business has a global footprint, offering sophisticated solutions to all clients across industry sectors including Renewable Power, Manufacturing, Defence, Aviation, Technology and Oil and Gas and Natural Resources. We also focus on other niche sectors. We encourage all brokers to be involved across the whole portfolio, rather than to fully specialise on one product or client type. This in turn promotes growth, development and elevated career paths.

**Skills and experience that will lead to success**:

- Proven experience in the Political Risk Insurance Market
- Good understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processes;
- Experience of managing effective client relationships with insurers, both Lloyds and company markets;
- Ability to utilise insurance industry IT systems (Brokasure / ECM / PPL)
- Effective communication and presentation skills;
- Awareness of compliance and FCA regulation;
