As part of the Supply Chain Team at Ernest Jackson, the Continuous Improvement Lead is key to the successful deployment of the CI framework and culture across production and its supporting functions.

**How you will contribute**

We are looking for a highly self-driven individual, with expertise in Lean and Six Sigma, where you will deliver a multitude of projects in areas such as:

- Standardising & optimising processes.
- Reduction in change over times.
- Reduction in process variation.
- Improved performance with an emphasis on employee safety and quality.
- Cost reductions - eliminating waste.

You will report directly to the Production Manager but will work in close partnership with Production Leaders (Manufacturing and Packing Managers) and the Engineering team to lead the development and implementation of the site Lean Six Sigma strategy.

- Kaizen.
- SMED.

- Able to provide Lean / Six Sigma mentoring across the site, to drive short-term and long-term business improvements.
- Ability to build and drive a Continuous Improvement and Lean culture.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to influence and communicate with all levels of the business.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficient in Power Point, Visio, Word & Excel.
- Ability to direct and lead cross-functional process improvement teams.
- Identify and deliver continuous improvement projects and demonstrate sustained improvements through monitoring performance (pre and post improvements).
- Able to adapt and switch gears easily, switching from day-to-day work, to critical root cause analysis situations as problems arise.
- Strong statistical, financial, and analytical acumen.

**Required Qualification and experience**
- Certification in Six Sigma and Lean disciplines (Minimum - Green Belt).
- Operations / Manufacturing / Packing experience, in either food, Pharmaceutical or FMCG (Fast moving consumer goods) environments.
- Proven capability to lead change in a team environment.
- Experienced Lean / Six Sigma mentor.
- Demonstrated strategic ability, business acumen and change leadership capability.

**Desirable**:

- Lean / Six Sigma qualified trainer, to deliver Yellow / Green belt training.
- Six Sigma Black Belt

**What you need to know about this position**:
You will be responsible for analysing, prioritising and implementing improvement opportunities to improve manufacturing KPIs. You will be the site lead for continuous improvement and as such be a role model for the lean agenda, rolling out continuous improvement tools across the Crediton site and demonstrating determination to continually improve processes, practices and people.

You will identify and implement a fit-for-purpose manufacturing KPI measurement and reporting system. You will then use that data to plan and facilitate kaizen and small group problem solving activities.

The responsibilities of this position are performed within the framework of a regional business model that is defined and managed by Mondelēz Europe GmbH, Switzerland.
