**Job Context**:
The role of the Junior Estimator is to price in full all the scope of works for all projects Focus Experiential are to undertake, working closely with the Project Director and Operations Director to liaise with contractors and client contacts to bring this together. As part of this role, the Junior Estimator is to find efficiencies in on site works to save time and maximise profits, whilst also highlighting any potential variables in the onsite works to the projects team prior to onsite works starting.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide full scope of works for all projects
- Understand the project/program and its requirements
- Review plans and specifications to determine Scope of works and effective delivery
- Determine key variables for costs and other estimates
- Gather first-hand information from sites, warehouses, or other venues to assist with costs
- Conduct research to obtain data on labour costs, materials, production times etc.
- Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors
- Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.)
- Work with the PD and provide consultation on planning (schedules, manpower needs etc.)
- Perform risk analysis
- Ability to manage multiple projects, with the ability to prioritise works based on launch dates
- Work to deadlines
- Define Scope of works to Sub contractors to give a clear brief on costings
- Negotiate valuations and final pricing, ensuring work won is at a profitable margin for the company. Reviewing progress and liaising with projects team to monitor costs
- Coordinating contractor and design costs
- Consider alternatives which may produce financial or program advantages.
- Attending site meetings/surveys to assist in scoping projects
- Maintaining quality control procedures
- Finding ways to prevent problems and to solve any that arise
- Assessing and minimising risk of all projects
- Ensure scope of works meets Client’s expectation in relation to finish
- Ensure SOW aligns with POW, working with Construction Manager advise of any change’s delays based on final scopes
- Responsible for ensuring all your health and safety courses are up to date
- At all times comply with the company policies, procedures, and instructions
- You will be expected to carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties

**Person Specification**:
**Qualifications**
- CSCS

**Experience**
- Previous position held within a similar role
- Ideally, 2 years’ experience working with projects
- Some on-site experience of the construction industry
- To have an interest in the construction industry or architecture
- Fit out contract background

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Knowledge base in construction, shop fitting or interior design fit out and joinery works preferred
- Health and Safety conscious approach
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Building control measures and compliance
- Strong character able to assess and manage site wide issues
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word

Hybrid working - 2 days required in the office after completion of training.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
