AWE have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Category Manager to join our growing team.

As the Senior Category Manager, you will drive, implement and execute Category Management, Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Relationship Management for a complex group of categories, with the ultimate objective of leveraging and securing AWE supplier baseto support its current and future business requirements, whilst mitigating risks. Be accountable for the end to end category performance for the category group and for driving and managing multimillion-pound Procurements.

Location - Reading / Basingstoke Area

Salary starting at £55,000 to £80,000 dependant on experience

This position will focus on Capital Investment projects covering construction, asset replacements & refurbishment, or site infrastructure improvements. Key to the role will be the ability to: follow a structured procurement process, lead on compiling tenderdocumentation and commercial/contract strategies, embedding lessons learnt, analysing submissions, negotiating with suppliers and making award recommendations.

We would like you to have experience of:

- Working at a similar level within a comparable organisation or industry
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex contractual arrangements
- Strategic category management
- Managing multiple stakeholders
- Pricing arrangements E.G. target cost incentive fee
- Intellectual Property Rights, Trade Controls and Earned Value Management
- Preparing tender packages, conducting tender conferences, developing evaluation criteria, analysing and evaluating proposals, negotiating subcontract provisions, subcontractor selection
- Working within a Procurement Function at senior level
- Driving and delivering change programmes
- Working in cross-functional teams across multiple programmes
- Working with NEC Contracts
- Outsourcing arrangements and TUPE
- Leading, managing, motivating and developing people/teams
