_Pilgrims Hospices are currently looking to recruit a _**Finance Assistant/Finance Apprentice**_ _to support the procedures and processes within the Finance department. The Finance Apprentice opportunity is offered to applicants who have an interest in pursuing a career in finance and who will be working towards the completion of an AAT Level 2 qualification by the end of the apprenticeship period. The role will provide an excellent development opportunity, with plenty of variety within a busy finance department._
**The Role**
As a Finance Apprentice you will work as part of a team and your main responsibilities will include:
- Processing Sales Ledger documentation
- Checking/reconciling Purchase Ledger Supplier statements
- Effective handling of incoming telephone calls, correspondence and internal and external visitors
- Maintaining an efficient filing system

**Working Arrangements**
This role is based at Pilgrims Hospice Canterbury. You will be provided with free on-site parking and subsidised meals during your work day.

**About You**
To be successful in this role you should:
- Have a willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Have a good standard of written and verbal communication skills
- Possess a good standard of secondary education, including a minimum of grade C/4 in Maths and English GCSEs
- Be IT literate and confident in the use of common Microsoft Office products
- Focus on accuracy and attention to detail
