The Glynn Vivian is a busy art gallery showing a wide range of exhibitions by local and international artists. We also provide many ways to participate in a wide range of creative Activities.

The post holder will be part of a visitor focused team that offers the best possible visitor experience.

The main role of Gallery Assistants is to maintain the operational safety and security of the Gallery, including the artworks, visitors, the building and house-keeping, as well as providing a friendly, efficient and professional service for our audiences to enjoy our visual arts programme, undertaking retail and customer care activities to ensure the Gallery is safe, welcoming, engaging and accessible.

The role involves some cleaning and setting up of areas as well as hosting and engaging with our visitors.

dealing with general visitor enquiries, supervising Reception and shop areas, maintaining security + invigilation duties in a gallery or similar high-security environment, assisting with routine house-keeping duties, and be available to work variable hours where necessary.
This includes weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays.
