**Graduate / PA / Carer / Support Worker to Creative Writing student - Essex**

**About our Client**

Our client is in her first year at Essex University studying Creative Writing.

She has a diagnosis of Spina Bifida and is a full-time wheelchair user.

She is easy going and has a great sense of humour.

Our client enjoys spending time doing her makeup whilst watching classic 2000s comedies and period dramas or listening to old-fashioned music.

With a joyful and delightful persona, she is keen to gain more independence whilst at University.

**About the Job**

This is a fantastic opportunity to truly make a positive difference to somebody else’s life. To assist our client to achieve her goals and aspirations. Therefore, this job offers the prospect of meaning and job satisfaction**.**

You will provide our client's academic support and health and social care.

This is also a “flat mate" type of role which goes far beyond simply care work, and includes all the fun things you'd expect a first-year university student to be doing**,** like getting out and about to see friends, going to parties, attending events and much more

**Start Date: ASAP**

**Working: Live-in university Halls 7 days on / 7 days off**

**Pay: £150 Per day**

**Location: Essex**

Care experience is not required as full training in our client's particular requirements will be provided.

A driver is essential for this role and you must hold a full clean UK driving licence as you may driving our client's adapted car.

5.6 week's holiday pro rata.

**About You**

You are unlikely to have experience in every aspect of our client's care therefore full training in her particular needs is provided.

You will need:
- To be physically fit, calm, patient and caring
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
- To have a good sense of humour
- A mature and responsible attitude
- Good communication skills
- To be fluent in English.
- To be clean and tidy in both your appearance and ways.
- To be okay with pets
