**Location and Dates: London, UK, April - November 2024**

**Position Description**:Funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the_ _Fulbright Leaders for Global Schools Program | Fulbright Teacher Exchanges sends cohorts of U.S. school and district administrators to participating host countries to take part in a 10-day intensive international exchange and professional learning program. The program provides these education leaders with opportunities to learn about the host country’s educational system and explore areas of mutual interest, including: supporting high-needs students, closing the achievement gap/attainment gap, raising the profile of the teaching profession, addressing teacher shortages, educating newcomer students, improving students’ social-emotional health, and preparing students with the skills to address global challenges.
- In-depth knowledge of the devolved U.K. education system and, ideally, one or more Home Nation education system(s). Connections throughout the education system and with educational organizations;
- Experience in event planning and group travel management;
- Reliable internet and phone access for daily use;
- Fluency in English;
- Availability to accompany the group and be on site for group program activities from November 3-13, 2024 (program will likely start and end in London with possible trips outside of the city); and
- Strong collaboration, leadership, organization, and intercultural communication skills.

**Duties**:
Program Planning and Coordination (April - October 2024)

In close coordination with IREX, the U.S. Department of State, the U.S.U.K. Fulbright Commission, and other partners, the Consultant will:

- Facilitate presentations on the U.K.’s education system and culture;
- Identify, plan for, and coordinate cultural and historical site visits;
- Organize and facilitate meetings with local education officials in London, as well as potentially coordinate with IREX and U.S.U.K. Fulbright Commission contacts outside of London;
- Arrange visits to local schools in London and potentially in other cities outside of London;
- At the direction of IREX, coordinate meetings with the U.S. Embassy, the U.S.U.K. Fulbright Commission, and other potential partner organizations;
- Support in the planning of program logistics, such as meals, lodging, transportation, etc.; and
- Regularly communicate with IREX staff in advance of program implementation (regularly scheduled meetings and additional communication as necessary).

Program Implementation & Closeout (November 2024)

In close coordination with IREX, the U.S. Department of State, the U.S.U.K. Fulbright Commission, and other partners, the Consultant will:

- Deliver and/or facilitate key presentations on the U.K.’s education system and culture and moderate participant discussion groups;
- Facilitate local cultural and historical site visits;
- Facilitate meetings with local education officials;
- Lead visits to local schools;
- Travel with the group during the program without interruption;
- Serve as a point of contact in the event of an emergency during travel;
- Serve as primary liaison and provide support for program participants and IREX in-country staff;
- Support group logistics, such as transportation and meals and communicating with local partners and vendors;
- Prepare proper financial documentation and reconciliation of expenses;
- Resolve other program related issues, as necessary; and
- Create a report documenting the activities of the program, including lessons learned and recommendations for future programming.

**Compensation and other provisions**: The Consultant will receive an honorarium for their services and IREX will pay for select travel, accommodations, and meal arrangements associated with the coordination and implementation of the program activity for the duration of the contract. Detailed information about compensation structure will be provided during the interview process.
