**Working Hours: 35 hours, Monday Friday, 9am 5pm**

We are looking to recruit an experienced Claims Handler to join our busy Pre-Litigation Team at Jones Whyte.

Within this role, you will manage your own caseload of pre
- litigated cases and negotiate claims for liability and damages. You will also act as a point of contact for clients, providing high-quality advice on a wide range of injury claims, predominantly pre-litigation but with exposure to litigated claims, where appropriate.

- Ensuring, in conjunction with the team, that cases are progressed quickly and efficiently
- Handling claims from start to finish,
- Working with our valued clients to understand requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practice
- Prioritising work effectively and maximising efficiency in working practices
- Consistent and clear communication with insurers, solicitors, fee-earners, and clients; providing a professional and efficient service at all times
- Ability to draft and take statements
- Carrying out investigations into liability and quantum
- Assessing prospects of a case
- Instructing and analysing medical evidence
- Calculating loss of earnings and assessing credit hire claims
- Working with our case management system to update and maintain on a daily basis
- Organised, punctual, and professional individual
- Motivated and proactive individual
- Strong, clear, and concise communication skills with the ability to maintain client contact throughout the process
- Professional and confident phone manner and ability to provide excellent service to our clients
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Computer literate, proficient with MS Office
- Able to work autonomously but also within a team

**Requirements**:

- Experience working for a Personal Injury firm/within a P. I department
