**Job Title: Community Construction Tutor**

**Salary: £30,000 - £32,500 (dependant on experience)**
**Responsible to: Chief Executive Officer**

**Hours: 37**

**Base: Unity in Community**

**Aim of the Role**

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**

1. Delivering teaching and learning, ensuring stretch, challenge and engagement of students of all ages and abilities. Collation and submission of claims as required to appropriate awarding bodies and partners as required.

2. Planning, preparing, and updating all relevant teaching documentation including schemes of work, lesson plans and online learning materials

3. Designing and delivering engaging sessions, including activities and projects

4. Refer participants onto suitable services and opportunities for the benefit of the individual.

5. Develop an action plan with individual participants to encourage development and progression.

6. Ensure the action plan is reflective of the participants needs and outcomes

7. Teach and help learners with practical assignments across varying construction trades.

8. Providing tutorial and pastoral support to students across the Centre.

9. Provide guidance in a classroom style setting.

10. Assist with the assessment and monitoring of students.

11. Complete all administrative work concerned with the assessments to required standards.

12. An understanding of and commitment to the welfare and safety of students

13. Planning and organising functional skills examinations and assessments

14. Provide tailored advice and information to the individuals needs or situation

15. Maintain and update organisational database or record keeping software.

16. Maintain and update participant paperwork and records as required by the funding organisation.

17. Track and monitor client progress.

18. Attend weekly project meetings.

19. Liaise with the Administrator in relation to outcomes and administrative issues.

20. Contribute to the further development and implementation of effective quality processes across the service

21. Co-operate and take part in the Unity in Community appraisal scheme

**Additional Duties**

There may be a requirement to undertake other duties as may be reasonably required to support

Unity in Community. This may include being the organisation’s Fire Warden or Appointed First

Aider. These roles may be based at other Unity in Community locations.
