Our client who has been in operation for over two decades is looking for a Mechanical Estimator to join their team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Present net cost tenders for internal adjudication.
- Identify resources to complete the bid.
- Compile comprehensive analytical net cost estimates for works.
- Put together competitive bids & estimates.
- Ensure that health and safety guidelines are incorporated into all proposed activities and tender submissions.
- Negotiate with suppliers for best prices available.
- Produce competitive tenders for mechanical building services projects.
- Previous mechanical estimating experience.
- Liaise with Electrical estimator for M&E Tenders.
- Mechanical building services background.
- Varied project tendering experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Attend tender, pre-start meetings, negotiating pre-contract terms and conditions as well as documenting any agreements reached.
- Obtain external quotations for specific materials, equipment and subcontracting packages.
- Attend pre
- and post-tender meetings.

**Requirements**:

- Presents in a convincing and informative manner.
- Demonstrate experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience in an estimating role.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Qualification to HNC/HND level or equivalent in a Building Services related qualification would be advantageous.
- Have knowledge of the mechanical processes.
- Readily adapts to changing demands.
- Supports and co-operates with others.
- Hold Mechanical qualifications.
- Good with numbers and good IT skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to multitask and work with tight deadlines to achieve objective.
- Takes responsibility for getting things done.
- Shows sense of urgency/energy to achieve results.
- Keen eye for detail.
- 20 days holiday plus statutory bank holiday.
- Flexible working opportunity.
- Salary 40-46k including car allowance.
