**Family Outreach Worker**

**Meadowfield, Templenewsam & Colton Children’s Centre, part of Red Kite Learning Trust**

**Contract**: Permanent, Term Time Only
**Hours**: Full time, 37 hours per week
**FTE salary**: £ 22,369 per annum
**Actual salary**: £ 19,159 per annum
**Holidays**: equivalent to 14 weeks per academic year

The key aims of the Children’s Centre is to ensure all infants, young children and families are supported to have the best possible start in life. This is achieved by promoting good health, safety, wellbeing and enhancing school readiness outcomes. We offer 1:1 support for families around parenting, finances, housing, behaviour management, domestic abuse, and more. The centre also promotes children and family relationships through its universal offer of family learning sessions and courses, play and stays, workshops, behaviour management and healthy relationship courses.
- **We are looking for someone who**:

- We are looking for a motivated individual with experience of working with children and families who can demonstrate a commitment to improving outcomes for children.
- You will be required to work alongside families with a range of focused services that will support parents with young children encouraging participation and discussion, promoting the development of children and parents learning through play, communication, language and literacy
- The post is key to supporting safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children whilst providing professional support to parents and workers from other agencies.
