**The Role**

Unite Students are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our fantastic Estates team in covering our North of England and Scottish locations. Playing an active role in the overall Estates strategy the purpose of the role is to provide supportto all Estates Projects, working alongside and forging strong relationships with our City teams, Contractors, Corporate Affairs team and the wider Estates team.

**What you'll be doing**
- Deliver technical projects, to include fire alarm upgrades, lift upgrades, AOV upgrades(include project plan tracking, VO tracking and approving, risk register, full snagging and de-snagging)
- Deliver the In-Occupation Lifecycle strategy, (include project plan tracking, VO tracking and approving, customer communications, risk register, full snagging and de-snagging)
- Develop processes to support and develop In-occupation Lifecycle strategy
- Deliver projects for both lifecycle and estate enhancement (include project plan tracking, VO tracking and approving, risk register, full snagging and de-snagging)
- Develop scopes for projects assigned by Senior Project Manager/Project Manager
- Deliver H&S to ensure fully compliant sites and appropriate recording of accidents
- Ensure all pre-start and mobilisation meetings are conducted
- Ensure all site visits are conducted to agreed schedule
- Undertake end of contract reviews with contractors alongside Procurement and Project Manager
- Manage day to day activities on the ground on all allocated projects, to include key stakeholder liaison, site meetings, quality checking and sign off, sign off and issuing of practical completion
- Develop lifecycle process
- Quality control on all projects
- Adhere to all CDM guidelines working with Projects Coordinator for development of paper work
- Monitoring of all project programmes
- Work closely with City Teams to ensure projects delivered are within expectations
- Monitoring of budget spend and notification of any spend to Senior Project Manager
- Monitoring of Health and Safety on all sites and highlighting any concerns to contractor/Project Manager/Unite Students H and S Team
- Attend all end of contract meetings and provide information on performance of contractors

**What we're looking for in you**

Essential:

- Management experience in a property / estate management role
- Good working knowledge of building construction, mechanical and electrical installations
- Demonstrable experience and success in managing complex projects frominception to completion, delivering works whilst in a live environment
- Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Experience of managing within budgetary constraints
- Ability to manage in a cross functional environment
- Ability to travel as required within the role

Desirable:

- Attainment of recognised qualification relevant to the role or demonstrable qualification by experience
- Basic understanding of data protection legislation and experience of developing and maintaining a team environment where personal data is kept protected, confidential and secure
- Ability to demonstrate proven track record of delivering process improvement
