Trustee
Dorset Wildlife Trust (DWT) is a welcoming community of people - members and supporters, volunteers, partners, and staff - who share a love of Dorset’s wildlife and who work together to protect it.
- DWT Council (Board of Trustees) sets strategy for the charity and ensures it is run properly and effectively. The trustee role is a voluntary one; it requires preparation for and attendance at Council and some committee meetings, and continuing effort to keep in touch with DWT’s work and support its staff and membership.
- We need trustees who can contribute to strategic management and organisational development. The uppermost requirement is a commitment to the purposes of the charity. We are particularly keen to further strengthen trustee expertise in fundraising, and estate/land management.
- We believe that serving as a Trustee at DWT is a rewarding experience. You may be seeking an opportunity to contribute to a cause you are passionate about or looking for a new challenge. Alternatively, you may be interested in becoming a Trustee to boost your career - trusteeships are an opportunity to get involved in every aspect of running an organisation.-
