**About Us**: We are a family owned nursery in the heart of Surrey, with a focus on home from home care and exceptional provision for early years education.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist in managing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. This role is mainly supernumerary based on the nursery reception desk, however you may be required to support the rooms from time to time in numbers with the opportunity to lead the nursery on occasion.
- Handle administrative tasks including but not limited to record-keeping, handling parent communications and maintaining accurate child and staff records. This will include the organisation and booking of nursery events.
- Act as the primary point of contact for parents and visitors, providing excellent customer service and handling inquiries efficiently.
- Coordinate staff training and development programs, ensuring all staff members are up-to-date with mandatory training requirements.
- Collaborate with the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager to implement policies and procedures to maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children.
- Act as Health and safety lead, ensuring all staff adhere to company policies and procedures. This will include writing risk assessments, updating policies, auditing health and safety records and keeping up to date with all fire and health and safety training.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a nursery setting.
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with parents, staff, and external agencies.
- Previous experience in a nursery management role is desirable.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations governing early years education and childcare, including health and safety.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience in recruitment processes is an advantage.
