We are seeking a highly motivated individual who will provide administrative support to a member of staff who is blind under Access to Work arrangements. The post holder will support the staff member with reading medical notes, referrals, documents, completing mandatory training, supporting attendance at meetings and any other duties required to allow the pelvic health physiotherapist to work as independently as possible. This will include taking the staff member to meetings across the UHB area and outside the UHB area as necessary.

The post holder will be required to take the staff member and guide dog to clinics which may occur outside the health board, and occasionally act as a chaperone during appointments for gynaecological assessments.

The post holder will provide support during consultant clinics assisting with reading of medical notes and clinical systems.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

To provide a range of clerical and typing duties to support the Physiotherapy Service including support for the waiting lists.

Knowledge of Health Board IT systems to include WCCIS, and Myrddin would be desirable although full training will be given.

- Deal with requests for patients records from Legal Agencies and Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB Concerns Team, ensuring adherence with Data Sharing Protocols when releasing any information.
- Plan and prioritise their own workload, and be required to use own initiative to respond and deal with general enquiries and routine work.
- Accurately organise, file and safely store Departmental information both electronically and paper copy in accordance with agreed Policies and Procedures e.g. storage of personal files, patient records.
- Store and maintain documents and records in accordance with Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB Data Protection Policies, ensuring management of long-term storage.
- Support the Communication Strategy of the Physiotherapy Department through attendance at staff meetings, use of web based and social media communications to relay messages and advertise the Department.
- Assist with collation and provision of information for audit or governance purposes, as and when requested.
- Input sensitive data and/or information into a variety of databases with a high degree of accuracy. This information/data will be confidential and sensitive e.g. sickness absence information.
- Supporting as determined by the service, and the individual physiotherapist, a staff member accessing mainly administrative support via Access to Work e.g. reading and relaying medical notes information/patient letters/referrals/Health Board IT systems.
