We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, outstanding, caring, team player and enthusiastic qualified Practitioner (temporary contract) for our village Preschool, working for children aged 2-5 years old, starting asap (job share considered). A successful applicant will have experience of working with Preschool age children. A minimum of Level 2/Level 3 qualification in Early Years is required.
- To have a working knowledge & understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Prepare Preschool areas for the daily programme and help clean/tidy at the end of day
- Demonstrate willingness to integrate as part of hard-working passionate team, who provide personalised care for each child at Preschool
- Hold significant key person working experience in the early years
- Perform the Key Person role to a group of children, communicating effectively with parents/carers on a regular basis.
- Maintain accurate records on Key children, using our secure online journal, making observations, and writing up reports
- Provide input and assistance with curriculum planning
- Great interpersonal skills with early years children, demonstrating care and kindness
- Maintain high levels of professional behaviour, adhering to all safeguarding, confidentiality and health and safety policies
- Demonstrate awareness and understanding of a child’s additional needs, and engage in appropriate learning plans
- Commitment to attend/participate in regular staff meetings
- Opportunities to attend training courses and develop topic interests

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary contract

**Salary**: £11.42 per hour
