We are looking for a student or recent graduate who can join us for a 12 month fixed term contract as a Food Technologist to provide support to the Consumer Care and Quality team. This is a role based in a sales and marketing, office environment rather than in a manufacturing or laboratory setting.

In this fast paced role you will need to be curious about how businesses work; an eagle eye for detail; an ability to deliver great consumer/customer care; able to use different systems and software packages: and someone who can quickly contribute to our success. **The key responsibilities include:

**Consumer Care and Supplier Activity**
- Liaise with suppliers and factories for complaint and incident resolution.
- Support with the analysis of complaints data to deliver detailed complaints analysis; associated presentations and complaints extracts for Partnership suppliers and assist in compilation of the Consumer Care Monthly report
- Assist in the preparation and execution of third party supplier audits and chasing up evidence for non-compliances raised.
- Review of Consumer Care Technical Statements - checks against latest legislation.

**Product Related Activity**
- Participate in QAS assessment: review and update QAS master documents.
- Responsible for:

- Ordering samples from our warehouse for lab testing, QAS sessions according to the schedules.
- Monitoring out-of-specification analysis results and follow up with suppliers.
- Monitoring tracking system for routine testing: matching samples sent to results.
- Product specification audits to ensure integrity of information provided by the supplier.
- Develop a process and procedure for product shelf life extension and associated tracking system
- Attend brand meetings, take minutes and share with the quality team any relevant information such as; promotions, product/packaging launches, new suppliers etc.

**Quality Systems**
- Ensure supplier, PQB and internal trackers are maintained.
- Keep Food Fraud and Regulatory tracker up to date, support monitoring of Fraud through FERA, decernis etc.
- Ensures relevant certifications are maintained and up-to-date on both Interspec and BeCPG as relevant (e.g. BRC/IFS, Organic, RSPO, ISO 140001, Fairtrade etc).
- Assist in the preparation of external audits (STS/RSPO/IFS); carrying out document review/ internal audits/closure of non-conformances raised.
- Support the crisis management process
- Development/review of quality/consumer care procedures as required.
- Participate in EU Quality meetings as required.

**Technical Support Activity**

Completes ad hoc sales and exports technical forms

**Experience and education**:

- Systems experience: Microsoft Office Proficient.
- Working towards or a graduate of a degree in Food Science or similar

**Technical Skills / Knowledge**:

- Food safety & quality.
- CSR basic knowledge and interest.
- Risk assessment of the supply chain regarding product quality.
- HACCP basic knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Analytical testing knowledge.

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
