**THE COMPANY**

This fast-paced business has increased revenue and expanded its service offering significantly through a succession of strategic acquisitions. With new Private Equity backing the Group is now poised for further acquisition-focused growth which will ensurethe business becomes the leading specialist in its core sectors. Based in Bolton, the group has offices across the UK and in several International territories.

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

A new Project Accountant position has arisen which will involve supporting the Group Finance Director and Financial Controller and managing the finances for newly acquired businesses.

As Project Accountant your responsibilities will include
- Leading the migration of finance systems for new acquisitions to the Group's Finance system and implementing new financial controls and processes
- Liaising with Directors of newly acquired businesses to ensure a smooth transition to all aspects of the Group’s systems and processes, ensuring a joined-up approach across the business
- Acquisition accounting and computation of opening balance sheets and adjustments to align to Group accounting policies
- Driving process and system improvements across new acquisitions, increasing robustness of controls
- Creating new financial analysis and reporting as required
- Ad-hoc projects as required by Group Finance Director

As the Group continues to expand this role will develop into a more senior FC / Finance Manager role with full financial management responsibility for a continually expanding group subsidiary - financial reporting, planning, analysis, controls etc.

**THE PERSON**

You will be an experienced Finance professional able to demonstrate:

- Part-Qualified or Finalist level Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- At least 3 years Financial & Management Accounting experience
- Background within either Industry or Chartered Practice (or both)
- Ambition and career drive
- Good IT skills, particularly Excel
