**The Role**

Sure Logistics are looking for an experienced Domestic Freight Forwarder, to aid the expansion of the logistics department within Sure Group.

We are looking to build upon our dedicated fleet of 20 vehicles, by expanding our Sub Contraction department to increase our market share within the logistics sector.

Reporting directly to the Transport Manager you will be working with our Haulage IT Platforms to:

- Arrange transport services for our clients.
- Identify and engage suitable hauliers.
- Find work for the Sure Logistics General Haulage fleet
- Negotiate best rates.
- Monitor delivery process.
- Report issues.
- Keep clients informed and updated.
- Capture all POD documentation for filing and invoice pack up.
- Produce weekly revenue and cost reports.

**Desired Skills & Experience**
- 2-5 years in a similar role
- Sound working knowledge of legislation around drivers’ hours.
- Excellent administration skills
- Awareness of international road transport operations
- The ability to build and maintain good working relationships with other companies and hauliers, to build up a solid client base.
- A persuasive attitude towards negotiating the best rates possible.
- An organised and methodical approach to your work, with the ability to log, track, and report accurate information on a weekly basis.
- Adequate PC skills, mainly in Microsoft Excel, to allow accurate reporting and recording of all loads, rates, and POD’s.

The ability to think on your feet, in reacting to problems that may occur with load coverage, ensuring no loads are failed and customer service remains at 100%.

This role will allow the right person to build their own strategy and manage their own P&L for the division. The head of Sure Logistics Freight Forwarding will be responsible for leading and developing the profitable and sustainable growth of the Freight Forwarding division.
