Bookkeeper/administration

**Summary**:
**Hours**:
40 hours pw, Monday to Friday

**Requirements**:
A thorough knowledge of Sage 50 & MS Office is required. Experience of BACS, & direct debit processing is also important. Accuracy, organisational skills, a good work ethic, flexible attitude, and an ability to work under pressure are the sort of attributes we will be looking for.

**Role**:
The following job specification is not exhaustive, but covers most of the duties to be carried out:
**Sage Activities**
- Entering supplier invoices into Sage 50
- Posting Bank transactions from Barclays
- Raising sales invoices
- Bank Reconciliations
- Setting up new customers in Sage (carry out credit & reference checks)
- Credit Control in line with company payment terms
- Produce and send Monthly Statements to customers
- Process weekly Direct Debits
- Reconcile supplier accounts to statements & process month-end payment

**Bookkeeping Activities**
- Prepayments (Invoices and Road Taxes)
- Accruals
- Depreciation (Fixed Assets & Fleet Vehicles)
- Hire Purchase Interest
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Produce Variance P&L Analysis
- Quarterly VAT Return
- Month end reporting
- Liaise with outsourced accountants as and when required

**Other Duties**
- Schedule monthly online PAYE Payments
- Daily cashflow spreadsheet
- Ad hoc bank payments

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £24,000.00 - £26,000.00 per year (depending on experience)
