A well established law firm, recognised in the Legal 500 is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their dynamic Residential Development Team. The 15-member team delivers expert, concise, and commercially-focused advice, building strong, long-term relationships with clients and leading land and development agents. They handle a broad range of matters including site acquisition, infrastructure and planning agreements, secured lending, and plot/unit sales. Currently, the business are involved in some of the largest residential development projects in the region.

**Role Overview**

The primary role of the Legal Secretary is to support the fee-earning team members, ensuring the highest standards of client service in an efficient manner. This engaging and varied role encompasses a wide range of administrative support tasks. Key responsibilities include:

- Acting as the compliance support champion for the Team.
- Using Template Studio precedents to draft initial documentation (client care letters, terms of business, and matter-relevant information forms).
- Initiating client ID checks using Legl and monitoring the return of completed client ID reports.
- Conducting Companies House searches for new and existing clients.
- Liaising with clients on preliminary administrative inquiries.
- Ensuring fee earners complete applicable risk assessments throughout client and matter lifecycles.
- Uploading and managing documents for the Team on Hubshare.
- Assisting fee earners with Land Registry forms and SDLT returns, and submitting these via the HMRC online service and HM Land Registry portal.

**About You**
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to self-motivate.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft software packages, including the production and editing of various forms of documentation.
- Experience using modern document management systems.
